The Closing Of Drummer/ Unforgettable: Iyana U., Salimatou D., Samantha V.
Iyana: As you see on other blogs, our short film/music video was known as Drummer. We ran into some shooting ad story confusion so we had to change both the story and title. The new and improved film is called "Unforgettable." The story now is told as a love story; about a young girl reminiscing about her past love relationship. Simple. Short. Fun.
Salimatou: One of the most difficult part of this project was hearing un-liked and un-wanted feedback coming from our peers when we screened our drafts; but we took our medicine and used their advice and criticism to make a better story. That made us brainstorm more and change the story so it would make more sense.
Samantha: In the end... all the hard work we put in was worth it. In the end, we came up with a product that we loved. This was really more like a very emotional roller coaster than a quick, fun 6 week project. Hopefully, everyone will like it and appreciate the hard work our group put into it.

Drummer the short film. Today is the boring day that we start to advertise our short films. To be honest i wish that we were advertising justin bieber because that would be way easier.we are using free advertisment because it seems we have no money -_-.how do we not have money seriously. I guess this adds up to list of stress.we have to find a way to braodcast our film on things like google myspace and facebook i think we even have to make our own website.....okaaaay then.well hopefully this whole advertisment thing works because our blog has only 17 views, 17 views that are most likley from me and my team mates checking out our AWESOME writing skills. well until tommorow bye people

The 5 Of Us & Drummer: Iyana U.
I think I speak for the whole group when I say the 5 of us make an amazing crew. We all know each other from last year and the classes we've had this year before this project. Even though we are all friends, we all had different opinions on what it should look like and be shot and that worked out because we all had unique decisions and shared them without arguing and jumping down each others throats. Another alternative that worked out for the best was that even though someone got the title of director and another got the title of producer, the "power" didn't go to either of their heads, and it made the movie flow a lot quicker and orderly than we expected.
Drummer: What Went Well & What Didn't: IYANA U.
The one thing that we heard from our mentors/ teachers again and again and AGAIN was that nothing ever goes perfect. Whether it's from planning the movie to writing the script to choosing actors and filming, something almost always goes wrong. The group was feeling really well after we got the movie descriptions together, and did auditions and got the actors. The thing that set us back was that the AC from our group never showed up to either of the shoots. The challenging thing we also ran into was the editing courses. Editing has got to be one of the hardest things to do in a movie. Even though we have all the help in world, it is still difficult and time consuming. I have faith in Drummer so I know we'll get through this and make it through this project.

THE PRODUCER'S JOB/ SAMANTHA VELEZ
Being a producer can be hard work. Your mostly doing everybody's job in the set. I had a lot of fun producing "Drummer" and experiencing a good time with the actor's and my peers. I see myself as a fine producer in the future. You can learn from a lot if your were to make your own mini film. Just with one small step it can take you to big things in life. To where you can become an actor/actress, director, producer, or anything else you want to do in life. If you just follow your dreams and keep beleiving it can take you to places
BEING DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY: Iyana
Being DP (director of photography) was a challenging job to do. At first you think its easy; just holding and moving the camera wherever the director tells you to, but its not even close to being that simple. The first obstacle I had to overcome was taking ALL of the classes to learn about the camera and how to hold it and set the white balance for the shots, and make sure that the AC (assistant camera) does their job. The other problem I ran into was that the AC didn't show up to either of the two days we shot, so I had to set up EVERYTHING by myself. So it was hard, but overall I'm just glad we got the job done and if I say so myself, I think I did rather well.
PRODUCTION DESIGNING: LUESHEN S.
Being the production designer of this project at times was easy and fun but at times also difficult and annoying. Being that this short film took place in the 80s i had to reasearch the styles of the 80s -_-. At the beginning this seemed like maybe an easy job but if I missed one calender or even a poster that came out in the 2000's the whole film would probably be messed up.

THE CREATION OF "DRUMMER"-Director/IVONNE LOPEZ
Through this process I experience how to make a video and what you have to do to make it. I was the director in the video "Drummer". In my opinion it was the best experience I have been through, through my high school years, and many more to come. I had a good time doing this video with the actors and my peers. I can see myself doing this in the future and making a dream out of it.
MAKING OF DRUMMER~Salimatou
The production of Drummer was pretty fun and easy at the same time because we were lucky we were shooting inside instead outside with the bad weather. Another thing that made it easy was the cooperation and communication between us and the actors. Working with them definitely made it simple to complete our project in our tight time period. We were so grateful that the actors took the time out to help us with this short film with no pay and being directed by students about 10 years younger then them. Overall, the production went well.
DRUMMER DESCRIPTION: Iyana
Our short film "Drummer" is about a young teenage girl named Lucy living the 80's, that finds a picture of her parents and puts it all together that her father caused her mothers death. She then goes to find a band that her father created to seek revenge on him. In the story, she falls in love with the lead drummer Adam, who also falls in love with her. At the end, Lucy finds a picture of her parents in Adams wallet and breaks up with him, finding out their step siblings.
